W. J. Christian School is a Birmingham City School.

William J. Christian School is composed of two interrelated programs. These programs are: the program for zone children and transfer students in grades kindergarten through five and the Alternative/Gifted Program for children in grades 6-8. The school colors are Columbia Blue and Red and the school mascot is the Charger.

The school is named for Mr. William J. Christian, a former member of the Birmingham Board of Education. It is not affiliated with any religious group.
